Hi romy, thanks for info. I am going to stick with the 2-stage plan then as it will not be DSET but full range and my mid-bass is somewhat barbaric at this point. I have found someone to build for me, though we ha...

Not saying these are not better than most, but too little is said here of objectives, and too much is made of the "quality" of the bits and pieces, themselves, IMO. And servo is nothing new, if that's what this is:
Hi Romy!
The 515-8GPH were in same scale as the 515G with slightly above 35Hz resonance frequency and 103 sensitivity - a very good candidate for 60Hz horn. The 10” throat? No bolls to go for 9”, how about 8”? ...
High End will die anyway, it will be replaced with high price tags …
Actually it is very valid point. High-End Audio as a notion implies advance sound reproduction by all means, with disregard to cost-benefit ana...

After going through the anal pains of the Image Gallery upload (it is sohuge now that my browser slows down 10000x times loading it and it ocasionally kicksmy router out of this world; can we do something about it?), here are some picsof my assault o...

Paul, its all welded and filled with non-dissolvable epoxy. I've convinced Kilian to try to get the cart as close to the optimal technical specs ass possible. Let's see how much he will be able to do. Stich asked for s/n perhaps he can trace w...

I found an interesting flow in the sound of my current OPTS and while it will be certified I am experimenting with park of amorphous core transformers that left over from my former projects. I am trying to remap my Tribute but it is just 40mA. It...

Thanks, floobydust.
There are a lot of interesting points in you post to consider. What speaker you drive with your 2A3? If they are relatively high sensitively (like compression drivers) then did you consider going with a single stage? I think I ha...

A few years back an editor of a “famous” audio publication asked me if I write for him. I explained to him that I have no interest to build my own audio clientele, that have no cronies manufacturers whose products I would like to promote, that I ...

There is no "one tube DHT amp." There are only amps with gain in one box or two boxes.
Your 6E5P tube is not so special. People have been making WE437 spud amps since the 1960s. There is a class of amps that use a high-gm tube driver and a DHT out...

Thanks for the detailed answers. I will explain my setup. You are right about the dipole bass correction instead of the injection channel. Since I am waiting for both a subwoofer and the Fane Studio 8M and their horn, I am using the 12" as a b...

Recently there was probably nothing as low in audio as the BS surrounded Kharma loudspeakers. Each single step Kharma takes is further and further in-depth Kharma into the realm of bogusness. It is not that I find that “Kharma the Manufacturer” or “K...
